Discovering Our Design and Destiny as God's Daughters - Faith Fit Small Group Wellness Coaching Workout

It's not good when you have to admit you're the Pink Collar Coach with no S.M.A.R.T. Goal.
Yesterday, the first day of Spring 2026, I realized I was the Small Group Wellness Coach who'd asked the coachees to set a S.M.A.R.T. goal without doing so myself. Our Faith Fit Small Group Coaching Wellness and Workout group kicked off five weeks ago. Last week, I asked the Faith Fit group members to share their S.M.A.R.T goals. As one brave woman described every goal statement, it dawned on me that though I'd assessed my stress level by circling a number to indicate my satisfaction in that area on the Wellness Wheel and identified raising it as my goal, I had yet to do the deeper dive of making it Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Specific. Not very S.M.A.R.T. of me. I thanked the courageous member for her transparency and for being vulnerable with us and then told her she'd inspired me to work on my own goal.
Fast forward to prepping for this morning's class. I pulled out my notes and made up my mind to put my Pink Collar Coach money where my mouth is. I ran my set goal of raising my satisfaction with my stress level from a 3 to an 8 through the acronym, and while I am in a season of transition due to ds --- dilemmas I'm not at liberty to disclose just now --- and do not have all of the details fully fleshed out, I have a framework. At 56, it's time for me to find my final career/ministry fit that facilitates The Swan Experience: Minimizing women's barriers; Maximizing beauty and best lives through total transformation. Because I've always been a Swan (the true transformation is owning it!). That means utilizing all of the ways He's uniquely gifted me to coach, write, speak, train, sing, dance, and decorate the home I built as part of my doctoral project to host all of the above. That's been the goal for years, a lifetime really, and the group coaching dynamic got me back to my purpose. That being the case, not only did I go to small group better prepared, but I am also better positioned to pursue my goal.
One of the things I love about coaching is that while I desire to serve as a change agent in the lives of those I coach, the process changes me. That's one of the tenets of coaching --- you can't transform others unless you're transformed --- or in my case, transforming. Though I facilitate change, I'm also forever discovering my design and destiny as God's beloved daughter. And He designed me to coach and to write. He also destined me to share my story for my growth, the good of others, and for His glory. Hence this first blog post on the website I revamped two years ago as part of the same doctoral project!
Weekly, at the end of our Applying Scripture time, before we move into our Activities ---- reviewing our Wellness Wheel and Workout ----- we select one Small Change we'll make the upcoming week. Last week, mine was to resume blogging. It's been a minute... So long in fact that I don't know if any of the readers who followed Pink Collar Savvy & Chic are still around or will find their way here. That's only one of the unknowns. But an article I read about getting back into blogging advised not waiting until it feels perfect, but to just start. So, here I am. Here it goes. Better late than never, right? Although far from perfect, it feels purposeful. And aligned as I got confirmation this morning on the title of this post that I started last night when a sweet sister shared how remembering her identity as God's daughter helped her to show up at work in an empowering way. How can I ask for more?

Faith Fit only had half our members today --- Saturdays are a struggle! ---- but all the lovely Swans present took a Not So Sweaty Selfie for my kickoff post before we shook it for Jesus!
I was designed to do that, too! So, thank you, Faith Fit Swans for shaking with me!
Here's to one small change. A blog post. Now that's S.M.A.R.T.
A few Scriptures that may help you to discover, rediscover, or simply remember our design and destiny as God's beloved daughters, and how He destined us with a unique purpose only we can fulfill:
Design: "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians 6:18).
Destiny: He destined us with a unique purpose only we can fulfill ("For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.") Ephesians 2:10, NIV).
So, how are you discovering your design and destiny as God's beloved daughter? What will you do to show up differently at work, workout, or in the world? Because you've always been a Swan!
Stay savvy and chic,
Pink Collar Coach
